The role
You'll produce video, photography, podcasts and written content that informs residents and supports county communications. The role reports to the Assistant County Manager and requires availability outside business hours.
What you'll do
- Produce professional video, photography and podcasts for county channels
- Write and edit news releases, fact sheets, presentations and website content
- Build and run a social media content calendar, and measure how it performs
- Cover Board of Supervisors meetings, parades and other events, including nights and weekends
- Support media inquiries with interview talking points for high-visibility events

Must-haves
- Availability outside business hours for meetings, events and emergency communications
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design skills
- Experience scheduling and running social content across multiple platforms
- Knowledge of social media legal guidelines
- Ability to manage several content projects at once
Nice to have
- Valid Arizona driver license
- Experience writing press releases, presentations and speeches
- Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications
