The role
You'll shoot and edit video that shapes the public image of the mayor and the administration. You'll report to the Digital Director and work across social, web, press and archive.
What you'll do
- Film and edit video for social media, the website and internal use
- Develop concepts and storyboards with the Digital Director and comms team
- Capture planned and candid footage at events, press conferences and community meetings
- Adapt content for horizontal, vertical, short-form and long-form formats
- Maintain video equipment and archive footage for easy reuse

Must-haves
- Editing software proficiency, such as Premiere or Final Cut Pro
- Strong grasp of lighting, audio and composition
- Advanced knowledge of film equipment and camera operation
- Availability for city events, sometimes outside standard business hours
- Cover letter and resume; city residency within six months of hire
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in videography, media studies or a related field
- Basic knowledge of YouTube and other video-hosting platforms
