The role
You'll turn scripts and raw footage into polished YouTube and social videos, from news packages to podcast shows and documentary-style projects. You'll work with the social and production teams, reporting to the Head of Social Media.
What you'll do
- Edit long-form and short-form videos for YouTube and social media
- Turn scripts, raw footage and graphics into finished productions
- Cut news packages, podcast shows, digital series and documentary-style pieces
- Apply branded graphics packages, MOGRTs and Adobe templates
- Suggest improvements to editing workflows and content formats
What they're looking for
Must-haves
- Experience editing for YouTube and social media
- Experience editing long-form, documentary-style content
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve and/or Avid
- Strong editorial judgment and ability to work independently
- Based on the West Coast in the Pacific Time Zone
Nice to have
- Experience in news, journalism, legal media or true crime
- Degree in Communications, Film, Journalism or Production
