The role
You'll edit full-length podcast episodes and turn them into short-form social video for civic and mission-driven clients. You'll also cut long interviews into narrative videos and turn news moments around fast.
What you'll do
- Edit full-length podcast episodes for YouTube with multi-cam, graphics and audio cleanup
- Cut verticals and clips for Shorts, Reels and TikTok, deciding what to clip and how to frame it
- Turn scripts and messaging guidance into social-first video for client goals
- Cut 1.5+ hour interviews into tight, narrative-driven videos and clips
- Source footage from the news cycle, and make thumbnails and titles
What they're looking for
Must-haves
- Strong Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop skills
- Footage sourcing, dialogue cleanup and mixing, and color correction for web and social
- Familiarity with Riverside or similar podcast recording platforms
- Genuine interest in politics, policy and civic life; you follow the news
- Demo reel showing pacing, storytelling and social-first content
Nice to have
- Comfort using AI tools to speed up production workflows
- Background in campaigns, advocacy, journalism or nonprofit comms
- Experience in media
