The role
You'll cut clips and Shorts from podcasts, TV appearances and journalism, package YouTube uploads, and manage two social interns. You'll also build the templates and workflows that let a small team publish like a bigger one.
What you'll do
- Ship three to five hook-first, captioned clips per episode within 24 hours
- Write titles, thumbnails, descriptions and chapters, and test them on every upload
- Shoot quick direct-to-camera takes with writers and editors
- Run the social calendar and manage two social interns
- Test a new format or platform each month and report on what drives subscribers
What they're looking for
Must-haves
- Short-form video editing for a news, media, creator or brand account, with a portfolio
- Fluency in Premiere Pro, Descript, CapCut or similar
- Experience with clipping tools like Opus Clip or Riverside's Magic Clips
- Familiarity with political media, especially right-of-center audiences
- Comfort with platform analytics and a habit of building templates and presets
